ABOUT THE FROST REPORT
The Cal Poly Frost report is an annual report produced and printed for Bill and Linda Frost, alumni of Cal Poly who donated $118 Million to the College of Science and Math. The report includes how their money is being used throughout the program, including photos and stats of student/faculty research groups.
My job is to capture these students as they do their research.
THE PROCESS
PHOTOSHOOT, PHOTOSHOOT, PHOTOSHOOT!
The images included in the frost report of students doing work are in no way staged. I went out to sit in on research sessions of Frost Scholars and gathered hundreds and hundreds of photos of the research being done. To the right you will see four contact sheets that showcase some of the many photos I have curated in Lightroom.
EDIT AND EXPORT TO THE FROST REPORT, AND BEYOND!
All of these images are sent to the team unedited where they then edit the ones they think fit the publication best. These images are then given to the university to be used on other publications like the COSAM website, other articles and more.
